ColdFusion Development

Despite the bottomless pit of information available in Google, I find myself falling back on a core set of sites for the answers to my questions.  Through the magic of Google Co-op I have created a ColdFusion Development Search Engine.  It is a hand made list of sites I trust for answers to my ColdFusion questions.  I've also included and tagged JavaScript, SQL, Fusebox and AJAX resources with the idea that anything related to CF that I use on a daily basis to do my job is fair game.

If you can't find what you are looking for, let me know which site provided your answer and I can add it to the list after reviewing it.

UPDATE: The URL for the search is http://www.webdevref.com

  1. Very cool, I'll definetly save this.

I winder if there is a way to add this as a "search provider" to IE7's search bar?

  2. Brilliant! How about pointing a domain name to it, then it would be easier to find. And maybe some ads...

  3. I did a CF only one a while ago. You can make the search bar in IE or FF search pretty easily. To see my example visit www.cfhunt.com

  4. Sweet thanks, the search box can be integrated right into your google homepage as a widget!

  5. House of Fusion released a pretty good tool bar recently for IE/FF. It shows popular CF sites, resources, blogs & aggregators as well as podcasts.

I've used it and it is the first toolbar that I have let remain visible on my browser for years.

  6. Someonne should create a Firefox Search Engines for this also

  7. Hey Mike, Ryan, Jordan, Thanks for your comments. An update to this is that I have the firefox search enabled now. If you go to the search page you should see "Add Search to Browser" in the top right corner. Click that to add it to firefox. Another option is to hit the drop down for your firefox search and due to the auto discovery link on the page it offers Add WebDevRef as an option.

Thanks for the feedback so far. Let me know if you have any suggestions for inclusion into the list.

  8. Is anyone having trouble adding the search engine in Firefox 1.5? Maybe try a link like CFQuickDocs did http://www.coldfusionusers.com/cfblog/2006/08/29/introducing-the-cfquickdocs-firefox-search-plugin
