Micro Machines v3

It's a shocking admission but the racing game link I offered yesterday set me on a wild google chase to find either a PC or NTSC Playstation version of Micro Machines v3 but alas, my search ended with disappointment.

Codemasters USA replied to my customer service request on their website to inform me that since Hasbro/Galoob removed the Micro Machines license for the game, they changed the name to Micro Maniacs [game site] where the characters run instead of drive cars. Just ordered myself a copy.

Bad Drivers

I have been toying with the idea of a simple website for a while to highlight bad drivers. While checking out if it exists I came across Roadragers.com which almost does what I was going to suggest.

It's a bit serious though. My site would just be as simple as Google and anonymous with no ads. I'm looking for a load quickly, 3 text box, 1 drop down entry and then links to reports by state and maybe a few other items. Just enter state of incident, state of the plate, plate details and then pick an incident. Maybe pick a vehicle and it's color too so you can search for similar incidents.

This darn car

Anyone who used to read my old blog, The Story Teller, will be aware of the issues I have encountered since I bought the lease out after 3 years on my 2000 Ford Focus ZX3. The turn signal indicator inside the car was blinking erratically for the last month and someone recently explained that it meant the bulb had gone somewhere on the left. Makes sense since the resistance in the circuit will have changed. I'm an engineering type so I bought a bulb to fix it for 3 dollars. To save a lot of typing, I struggled to remove the housing so when I searched Google [ford focus replace light bulb] I found the first link to edmunds.com's solution. Nice. Gotta love the Google. I followed up looking for repair manuals like those you find in England by Haynes and lo-and-behold, Amazon lists the "Haynes 2000 and 2001 Ford Focus Repair Manual (Haynes Automotive Repair Manual)" I recommend one of these books if you own a car because you can save yourself a ton of money doing straightforward repairs yourself. During my search I came across these other useful references:

2. Edmunds.com's Maintenance Schedules which allows you to find not only your upcoming schedule but also the typical cost of the work in your zip code so you don't get ripped off. 3. I've provided a list of Haynes car maintenance guides to shorten your search.
